In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
Whisk in the buttermilk, eggs and vanilla extract.
Let your batter rest for 15 minutes.
In a large skillet over medium high heat, add butter or oil. Once the skillet is hot, add ⅓ cup cup of batter to make each pancake.
When small bubbles appear on the surface of your pancake, flip it over (about 3 – 4 minutes). Each side should be cooked to golden brown.
