Did you know 2017, 2018 and 2019 Ford Raptor shocks have a defined life cycle?
Depending on use, FOX recommends you rebuild your Raptor 3.0 shocks between 10,000-50,000 miles.
The cost to rebuild a set of four Fox Raptor shocks to OE spec is only $689 when you send them into us (Exchange Program or Send Your Shocks in Program). It costs $2300 or more to replace all four shocks with new OE shocks if you buy them from Ford or a Motorcraft Dealer.
A question we get a lot is... Can’t I just send my old shocks down to Fox to get my shocks rebuilt? The answer is yes you can send your old shocks to Fox and have them rebuilt, however, Fox will only rebuild them to OE spec. Another downside is it can take well over a month for you to get your rebuilt shocks back…. yes a MONTH! And that does not include the shipping back and forth! That means your truck is down, without shocks, for a month or more! This is exactly why we designed the Shock Exchange Program.
*Standard shock rebuild includes shaft deburring and polishing, new oil, seals, schrader valves (rear shocks only) & nitrogen charge.*
**Due to implementing new processes and personnel to better improve the quality of the shocks we send out to you, our lead time on exchange shocks is estimated at 25 days to build and ship them. We are working to streamline our new processes to reduce the lead time back to 5 days or less. I know the wait sucks, but these changes are to increase the quality of the shocks we build and is what sets Forged Offroad apart from the rest**
Performance Upgrades for your Ford Raptor Shocks: In addition to offering the Shock Exchange Program, which greatly minimizes the time your truck is down, we can also rebuild your shocks to your specific needs, improving the overall performance of your off road vehicle. Why rebuild to OE spec shocks when we can improve the performance of your shocks? From Flutter Stacks, Stage 1 and Stage 2 off road upgrades, to full custom set-ups, we can customize your shocks to perform far better than when your truck and shocks were brand new! You will notice on the service chart from Fox that the nitrogen is to be checked every 10,000 miles with 100% road use, every 1000 miles with 50/50 road/off road, however the proprietary nitrogen filling system that Fox uses on the OE shocks requires special equipment to check & refill and typically you need to remove the front shocks to do it!
Raptor Shock Exchange Program
How it works, Please Read!
Step 1: Read the rest of this page and click “NEXT” at the bottom of the page to agree to the terms & conditions.
Step 2: We will ship you a set of shocks built to your specifications.
Step 3: When you receive the rebuilt shocks, you have 30 days to install them on your truck and get your old shocks shipped back to us. If there is any issue, please let us know ASAP, we understand life happens.
Step 4: When we receive your shocks back, we will inspect them for any damage or parts that require replacing. If no parts or bushings need to be replaced, then you will get your full Deposit/Core back, however if anything needs to be replaced, the cost will be deducted from the deposit/core charge and the balance returned to you.
- Note: Refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed from the date your core shocks arrive back to us.
The shocks we ship out are NOT NEW and are not in NEW condition. The shocks we send out on the exchange program are USED. Thus they have scratches, dings etc on them. We do our best to send out the best WORKING shocks we can, we also try to send out the best looking shocks we can as well. Again, these are used shocks, there will be scratches, dings, scrapes and other cosmetic damage as they are USED SHOCKS! If you want new shocks, buy new shocks. If you want shocks that perform as good as new or better, then we are the right choice.
