Raptor Shock Exchange Program!

How it works, Please Read!

Step 1:   Sign up on our waiting list after reading through everything. We will send you a confirmation email, please respond to the email with a few pictures of your current shocks (especially the edge that faces towards the front of the truck.)

NOTE: Currently the waiting time is 2-4 weeks. If you cannot wait, it’s much faster to send us your shocks to rebuild. Click Here to send us your shocks!

Step 2:  When we have a set of shocks that we can build for you, we will contact you via email to verify the options you would like.

Step 3:  Once verified by you, we will send you an invoice for the total amount including the $500 Deposit/Core and shipping. The invoice must be paid before we can ship the shocks out.

Step 4:  When you receive the rebuilt shocks, you have 7 business days to install them on your truck and get your old shocks shipped back to us. If this is going to be an issue, please let us know ASAP. Our waiting list is long and we have to keep the list moving.

Step 5:  When we receive your shocks back, we will inspect them for any damage or parts that require replacing. If no parts or bushings need to be replaced, then you will get your full Deposit/Core back, however if anything needs to be replaced, the cost will be deducted from the deposit/core charge and the balance returned to you.

  • Note: Refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed from the date your core shocks arrive back to us.

The shocks we ship out are NOT NEW and are not in NEW condition. The shocks we send out on the exchange program are USED. Thus they have scratches, dings etc on them. We do our best to send out the best WORKING shocks we can, we also try to send out the best looking shocks we can as well. If shocks come to us with rust or corrosion on them, they go through our refinish process. The refinish process does not include the blue anodized aluminum parts! Again, these are used shocks, there will be scratches, dings, scrapes and other cosmetic damage as they are USED SHOCKS! If you want new shocks, buy new shocks. If you want shocks that perform as good as new or better, then we are the right choice.

Typical parts:  90% of the time the front lower shock bushings are in need of replacing. These bushings are $65 each (thanks Fox). Other common issues are front shafts ($120 each), bearing caps (where the shaft goes through) with stuck bleed screws ($65 to replace each cap).

The Refinish Process:  If your shocks have rust or corrosion on them, they will need to go through the refinish process where we strip them down to the bare steel, paint with Rust Former Paint and vinyl wrap. This is a very labor intensive process that takes 6 hours over 3 days. If your shocks require refinishing, the $250 refinishing fee will be deducted from your deposit. The above picture is how shocks look when we refinish them.
