2010-2014 Ford Raptor
Fox Shock Exchange Program

2010-2014 Ford Raptor’s FOX 2.5" shocks
have a defined life-cycle and need to be rebuilt!

Depending on use, FOX recommends you rebuild your Raptor 2.5 shocks between 10,000-50,000 miles.

The cost to rebuild a set of four Fox Raptor shocks to OE spec is only $550 when you send them into us (Exchange Program or Send Your Shocks in Program). It costs $2300 or more to replace all four shocks with new OE shocks if you buy them from Ford or a Motorcraft Dealer.

A question we get a lot is: “Can’t I just send my old shocks down to Fox to get my shocks rebuilt?”

The answer is: Yes, you can send your old shocks to Fox and have them rebuilt, however, Fox will only rebuild them to OE spec. Another downside is it can take well over a month for you to get your rebuilt shocks back…. yes a MONTH! And that does not include the shipping back and forth! That means your truck is down, without shocks, for a month or more! This is exactly why we designed the Shock Exchange Program.

*Standard shock rebuild includes shaft deburr and polish, new oil, seals, schrader valves & nitrogen charge.*

*Shocks pictured on the website do NOT represent the actual product you will receive*

Current lead time is estimated at 10-15 Business days to build and ship them due to the impact from the COVID-19 virus on us AND our suppliers.

Estimate (noun)

A rough or approximate calculation.

Exchange (verb)

Give something and receive something of the same kind in return.
Ex. “We exchanged shocks”.

Performance Upgrades for your Ford Raptor Shocks

In addition to offering the Shock Exchange Program, which greatly minimizes the time your truck is down, we can also rebuild your shocks to your specific needs, improving the overall performance of your off road vehicle. Why rebuild to OE spec shocks when we can improve the performance of your shocks? From Mid Perching & Flutter Stacks, to full custom set-ups, we can customize your shocks to perform far better than when your truck and shocks were brand new! You will notice on the service chart from Fox that the nitrogen is to be checked every 10,000 miles with 100% road use, every 1000 miles with 50/50 road/off road, however the stab through rubber puck system that Fox uses on the OE shocks requires special equipment to check & refill and typically you need to remove the front shocks to do it! This is one reason why all of our rebuilt shocks come standard with custom schrader valves(no drilling or tapping required).

Step 1: Read the rest of this page and click “NEXT” at the bottom of the page to agree to the terms & conditions.

Step 2: Fill out how you would like the shocks built, proceed to check out and complete the purchase.

Step 3: We will ship you a set/pair/single shock(s) built to your specifications (See above lead time).

Step 3: Once you receive the rebuilt shocks, you have 30 days to install the rebuilt shocks on your truck and get the cores (now our shocks, hence exchange) shipped back to us (THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE). If there is any issue and you can’t get them back to us within the 30 days please let us know ASAP, we understand life happens.

Step 4: When we receive your shocks back, we will inspect them for any damage or parts that require replacing. If no parts or bushings need to be replaced, then you will get your full Deposit/Core back, however if anything needs to be replaced, the cost will be deducted from the deposit/core charge and the balance returned to you.

  • Note: If your shocks have any rust or corrosion on them, they will need to be refinished. The refinishing fee for 1 shock is $65, 2 shocks is $125 and 4 shocks is $250. If your shocks require refinishing, this fee will be deducted from your deposit/core
  • Note: Refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed from the date your core shocks arrive back to us.

Disclaimers:

The shocks we ship out are NOT NEW and are not in NEW condition. The shocks we send out on the exchange program are USED. Thus they can have scratches, dings, etc on them. We do our best to send out the best looking shocks we can whether OE finish or our standard refinish. If shocks come to us with rust or corrosion on them, they go through our refinish process. The refinish process does not include the blue anodized aluminum parts! Again, these are used shocks, there will be scratches, dings, scrapes and other cosmetic damage as they are USED SHOCKS! If you want new shocks, we can help you buy new shocks. If you want shocks that perform as good as new or better, then we are the right choice.

The Refinish Process:  If your shocks have rust or corrosion on them, they will need to go through the refinish process where we strip them down to the bare steel, paint with Rust Former Paint and then wrap them in 3M 1080 Brushed Steel vinyl(pictured below for reference). This is a very labor intensive process that takes 6 hours over 2 days. If your shocks require refinishing, the $250 refinishing fee will be deducted from your deposit.

If the returned core shocks have damaged parts(not normal wear items), the cost will be deducted from your deposit/core charge.
